This year I will give a lecture on "Paradigm Shifts in the Treatment of Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer" at the National Congress of Coloproctology of the Russian Federation. Previous ESCP presidents such as Thomas Scricka, Zoran Krivokapic and important professors such as Yves Panis will also give lectures in the same session. I would like to thank the Management of the Institute and Association of Coloproctology of the Russian Federation, especially Prof. Yuri Shelygin, for their invitation. I am happy to make a small contribution to Turkish-Russian scientific cooperation.
